You’ve heard strength training is the thing? Yeah, all cause mortality drops, cardiovascular health improves, metabolisms get more regulated, bones get stronger, brains get happier, bodies get stronger, and excess body fat gets dropped. Strength training is especially critical for women, and women 40+ (and 60+ and beyond).

But, ever wondered HOW AND WHERE DO I START? With a machine, or one of those little dumbbells? Are those barbell things just for the pros? What should it feel like? Is this safe? How much should I lift, and how many times? Maybe should I just do what the person over there with the headphones is doing?

This 6 week course seeks to help a SMALL GROUP of women answer all those questions and develop the foundational skills to incorporate strength training into a regular fitness regimen.

Program Details:

🗓 Dates: 6 weeks, starting January 2
🕡 Times: Tuesday & Thursday evenings, 4PM-5PM OR 6:30–7:30 PM
📍Location: ActiveVT, 1 Main Street, Burlington
💵 Cost: $30 per session ($360 total)
👥 Cap: 6 participants only
